Reverend James E. Forney...
was born March 13, 1946 in Johnson City, Tennessee. His family later moved to Columbus, Ohio, where he attended school. After graduating from high school he joined the United States Air Force in August 1963, where he served his country for 27 years. He retired from active duty May 1, 1990, as a Chief Master Sergeant.

Rev. Forney has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Southern Illinois University. He is the Pastor of Corinth Baptist Church, located at 400 Delaware Avenue Alamogordo, New Mexico. Rev Forney has served as pastor of this body of believers since September 1991.

Rev. Forney served as President of the local chapter of the Otero County Branch of the NAACP for four years. He is the Moderator for the New Hope District Association New Mexico. Inc., President of the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist State Convention, New Mexico. Inc., serves on the Board of Directors to President William Shaw, National Baptist Convention USA, Inc., Nashville, Tennessee and board member and secretary of Vision Broadcasting, KVBA Television Channel 22 Alamogordo, New Mexico.

He is married to his lovely bride, Neva. They are the proud parents of two children and have been equally blessed with two granddaughters.
